Friends (Quaker) Transcriptions page

Transcriptions are posted here, along with an indexed reference to the actual record image for comparison. The books were not necessarily transcribed in this sequential order.

Guidelines

1.)  To insure the integrity of the original source information, an exact, word for word, copy of the manuscript including; line length, spelling and punctuation was done. This avoids misinterpretation, or a change in meaning, which can sometimes occur with modern transcribing.

2.)  Transcriber entries for questionable text are included in italic in [square brackets] to show non-original added information.

3.)  To aid in reading and researching of names, all names are bolded.

4.)  Spelling corrections to names and places are entered in [square brackets] for research purposes.
