Judith Viera
Born February 18, 1925
Judith and her husband Joe raised three children. All three graduated from Dartmouth High School.
When Joe died in 1991, Judith began volunteering at the Council on Aging. She began the Widowed Persons Support Program. Even at her present age, she still is involved with this program. She understands the importance of being present with others who have experienced the loss of a spouse.
Other volunteer jobs include being a Town Meeting Member for so many years that she lost count.
She was an active member of the Daffodil Project.
Was a hospice volunteer at South Coast Hospice.
As a member of St. Mary’s Church, she taught CCD and often delivered communion host to members who were not able to leave their homes. She also was a past President of St. Mary’s Guild.
One of her great accomplishments that Town residents still enjoy was her roll in securing Round Hill Beach for all Town Residents to enjoy presently and for the future.
She calls Round Hill a “Gem” in the community. For many years, she swam daily at the beach.
