Brehaut family

Photos courtesy of Katherine Deangelo
John Henry Brehaut Born Sept. 17, 1881, Dartmouth, Ma.
Wife Clara Silvia
farm house on 278 Russell’s Mills Road...It is John, Clara and their son Herbert Chester Brehaut in the picture...Herbert was born in 1906...and he looks around 5 so I’ll guess the picture is around 1910 or 1911. The bottom floor was a store where they sold eggs...and maybe some other veggies or milk?!
John inside of his barn...he was a blacksmith, and I think his Wheelwright stone is still on Rogers Street in Dartmouth.
John & Clara’s children, Herbert Chester Brehaut and Doris Emily Brehaut (Ogden)
census from 1920 that shows them on Russell’s Mills Road
picture of his sisters—Ada, Mamie(Reed), and Flora(Parkinson) Brehaut, 1902.
an article written about him in Yankee Magazine, November 1962
